How do I start using Focus One?

Simply download the app, enter a task, pick a timer duration (5, 10, 15, or 25 minutes), and tap Start. That's it! The app is designed to be as simple as possible.

What's included in the free version?

The free version includes all core features: task tracking, timers, Brain Dump, Focus Mode, and Victory Log. You can use Focus One completely free forever.

What does Focus One Pro include?

Focus One Pro adds premium features like I'm Stuck (AI-powered task breakdown), Timer Heartbeat (haptic feedback), Brain Reset (guided breathing), and Smart Timer (AI time estimates). Try it free for 3 days.

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your Focus One Pro subscription:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Find Focus One and tap it
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription
Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find your Focus One purchase, and select "Report a Problem."

Does Focus One work on Apple Watch?

Yes! Focus One includes a companion Apple Watch app. You can start timers, complete tasks, and view your current focus session right from your wrist.

Does my data sync between devices?

If you have iCloud enabled on your devices, your tasks, focus history, and settings will automatically sync between your iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.

Is my data private?

Absolutely. Your tasks and focus sessions are stored locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We never have access to your data. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

What is the Brain Dump feature?

Brain Dump is a quick way to capture racing thoughts during a focus session without losing your place. Just tap the brain icon, jot down the thought, and get back to focusing.

How does Focus Mode work?

When you enable Focus Mode, it activates your iPhone's Focus settings to minimize distractions during your timer session. You can customize which notifications are allowed in your iPhone's Settings.

Troubleshooting

The timer isn't starting

Make sure you've entered a task description before starting the timer. If the issue persists, try restarting the app or your device.

I'm not receiving notifications

Check that notifications are enabled for Focus One:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone
  2. Scroll down and tap Focus One
  3. Tap Notifications
  4. Make sure "Allow Notifications" is enabled

My data isn't syncing between devices

Make sure you're signed in to the same iCloud account on all devices and that iCloud Drive is enabled. Go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud and ensure iCloud Drive is turned on.

The app is crashing

First, try restarting your device. If the problem continues, make sure you have the latest version of Focus One installed. Go to the App Store and check for updates. If the issue persists, please contact support.

Haptic feedback isn't working

Haptic feedback (Timer Heartbeat) is a Focus One Pro feature. Make sure you have an active subscription and that the feature is enabled in the app's settings. Also check that your iPhone's haptic settings are enabled in Settings → Sounds & Haptics.

I can't restore my purchase

Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase Focus One Pro. In the app, go to Settings and tap "Restore Purchases." If that doesn't work, contact support.
